ANNOUNCEMENTS

April 28, 2026

Click on the tab Unknown Year of Deceased at the top of the Home Page and you will find a list of 40 names.  If you know the year that a classmate is deceased, please let us know and we will add to the In Memory page.

April 11, 2026

When you click on the Homecoming 2023 tab at the top of this page and scroll down to the bottom of the photos, you'll see a list of names have been added to match these photos.

Although we've given our best efforts in matching names with faces, you'll notice some names are missing or incorrect.  We apologize for any mistakes or omissions and hopefully we can update this list over time.

It's hard to believe over 2 years has gone by since the Homecoming event.  Our PCSS website continues to provide access to 60's nostalgia for those who enjoy a trip down memory lane.

Stay tuned for information regarding a mini PCSS reunion on September 12, 2026.  We are currently in the initial stages of planning for this event.

January 8, 2024

Homecoming 2023 update:

A large mixed bunch of people happily filled the Creston Room on September 16 to eat, drink and be merry at the Homecoming dinner and dance.  This was a sold-old crowd at the Rec centre on Saturday night and from what we've heard, everyone enjoyed the evening.  The presence of the Ambassadors set the nostalgic feel in the air.  This band, our own Creston Battle of the Bands winners, has brought so many of us together in the past 9 years.  We are all grateful to them for the chance once again to share and relive those teenage 60's years of rock and roll.

On October 5th, the final committe meeting was held.  Discussions included the views being shared by committee members from friends and family who attended the Homecoming weekend.  Overall, feedback was positive.  People had fun!!

A few pictures taken at the Creston Room of the decorations for this 1960's themed evening are now included on the website and you can view if you go to the top of the Homepage and click on the tab reading 2023 Homecoming.  If there are other pictures out there that we can add, please send to Pat Paterson @pater@telus.net and they will be added to the website.

A big thankyou to everyone for their participation. You made the 2023 Homecoming another memorable Creston event.

--------------------

There is a change in plans for the Saturday afternoon car show.  The CV Cruisers are unable to park their vehicles in the high school parking lot because of a volleyball tournament happening on the September 15/16 weekend.  Their cars/trucks will now be displayed out at the Overwaitea (Save-On) mall in front of the empty Saan's store from 1-4.

Also, there is a Rotary Golf Tournament happening on Sunday, September 17.  Cost is $70.00 and will include dinner.  To register, call the Pro Shop.

There are many things to do while you're in Creston.  We are looking forward to seeing many old friends and family.  Only a couple of days and our Homecoming will begin!

The committee you see below (consisting of PCSS classmates from the years 1960 to 1969) had their final meeting a few days ago.  Working as a team, everyone has contributed in some way to make the Homecoming weekend a success.  We are looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks!

Added Nov 7, 2013

Meeting #6 took place on Nov. 7 at the Cdn Legion with 10 locals attending

We are very pleased with the number of Classmates who have “JOINED” our website to date “

It is important to remember that by “joining” you are NOT committed to attending at this time.  At a later date, we will create a REGISTRATION FORM and outline the agenda/programs and costs.

To date we have about 20 Classmates who do not have computers and we will be “mailing” an update to them soon.  Also we have about 5 Classmates to date who are not interested in participating.  As you can see on the Memory page, we unfortunately have 48 classmates recorded as “deceased”.

Our #1 priority is locating and inviting Classmates to “join” – we ask everyone to view the “Missing Classmates” list and to those you know,  encourage them to click on 'JOIN HERE' on the homepage.

We have 122 who have created a profile so far – if each could locate one unknown and get one other Classmate to update their profile, our “locating and joining” chore would be done.

When you view the “Classmates” by year and the USER has NOT created a profile (the green check mark) – contact those you know and ask them to complete their profile.

UPDATE YOUR OWN PROFILES:                  add more detail and photos

MESSAGE FORUM:                          click this tab and participate with messages –- “posts” are being entered now and are very informative and some are very entertaining.

Note:  Pat and Ron spent an enjoyable 45 minutes talking with 1966 classmate Guy Salvador from Victoria.  Guy shared with us enthusiastic ideas for our Saturday night soiree next year.  He is committed to attending in style, driving to Creston in his 1965 Thunderbird.  *If anyone else has a classic vehicle tucked away, plan to drive to the reunion in the spirit of the 60's era!  That means you Ernie Klaffke, class of '66 who is also on board sharing thoughts of how to make our weekend truly special.

Our organizing committee will meet regularly until the big weekend in September 2014.  All input is appreciated.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

added June 2013

Summer 2013 is moving by quickly. We have taken this time to work on the reunion website, gathering photos from our past and entering them onto the site. Included so far are class pictures and miscellaneous images, historical and humorous, many of which have been taken from the Echo, our school yearbook (check out Bits and Pieces). Also, names and pictures of the classmates we have lost appear by clicking the "In Memory" tab at the top of the homepage. We have respectfully added a video of the song made so popular by Barbra Steisand, "The Way We Were" to express our feelings at losing so many friends. If you know of others that should be added to this page, please let us know.

We've been busy sleuthing out the email addresses, telephone numbers and whereabouts of our 400 or so classmates in order that word of this reunion reaches as many as possible. Recently, a broadcast message was sent to the classmates we have located so far. Responses to this announcement have been steadily coming in and indications show a positive interest.

The local reunion committee will convene again in September 2013 to continue discussions for next year's event. In anticipation of a favorable attendance at our reunion next year, we have tentatively booked the Creston & District Community Complex for our Saturday evening dinner and dance.

A reminder that everyone's participation is invited in the planning of this special occasion. Please peruse names on the "Where Are They Now" list which appears on the homepage and share with us any knowledge you may have of classmates' whereabouts.

Stay tuned to this website for further information as plans move forward.  And remember, you do not have to have been a graduate to attend this reunion.
